Water Resource ServicesWater is a bountiful natural resource in Florida. Residents and tourists in communities across the state enjoy water's many recreational opportunities and scenic vistas. At Inwood, we recognize that appropriate management of this resource is critical in order to protect people, property, and the environment for generations to come.

Erosion ControlErosion and sedimentation can have many adverse effects. It is important to employ proper techniques and precautions to avoid structural, water quality, and aesthetic impacts as well as the degradation of ecosystems. Whether a project requires erosion prevention or resolution, Inwood’s engineers and certified erosion control inspectors are equipped with the techniques and tools necessary to respond in an appropriate manner. |
GISInwood integrates GIS into all of our watershed management, infrastructure assessment, floodplain analysis, and stormwater basin retrofit projects. In addition to providing excellent mapping capabilities, GIS provides a powerful platform for data organization and analysis. Our clients benefit from utilizing tools, such as the Arc Hydro extension, which provide a faster approach to watershed studies and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. By employing new technologies, our team has found that traditionally time consuming processes can be automated to increase efficiency. |

StormwaterMany communities enjoy the benefits of properly implemented stormwater management strategies, including regulatory compliance, improved water quality, better drainage, and reduced flooding. At Inwood, our team of engineers has the experience and technical knowledge to apply best practices in order to identify, develop, and execute cost-effective stormwater solutions. |
Water QualityFloridians depend on our natural water resources for drinking water and recreation. The health of our rivers, lakes, wetlands, and springs are becoming items of increasing concern as is evidenced by the initiation of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Program requirements. The TMDL requires the reduction of pollutant loadings to natural systems in communities across the state. When Inwood develops water quality solutions on behalf of our clients, our team applies appropriate analysis, establish regional management plans, and implements treatments. By addressing water quality concerns today, our team aims to protect this critical resource for future generations. |

Watershed ManagementInwood's water resources team performs comprehensive watershed studies to determine water quality and flood impacts. These studies combine the use of 3D and spatial analysis within GIS with on-site investigation and data collection to develop hydrologic and hydraulic models that represent a watershed's drainage patterns. Model results are used to identify water quality and drainage deficiencies to be addressed by corrective actions. We have performed many watershed management projects in the state of Florida.
